Sweater weather is the best kind of weather!

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited for fall. I’m currently writing my ultimate fall bucket list. Like this post if you want to know what’s on my fall bucket list! Needless to say, I can’t wait for pumpkin flavored everything for the next few months.

I want to share a go-to, chic and comfy outfit you can wear this season. I have a few staples in my wardrobe during fall including:

1.Oversized sweaters: Whether you love button-down cardigans, boyfriend hoodies, or classic-knit sweaters, make sure to expand your collection this season for a variety of comfort as the temperature begins to cool down.

2. Leggings: People say leggings are a “white girl “staple, but hey, they’re comfortable and allow you to look presentable even though you could secretly sleep in your outfit. Besides, we all need a break from wearing jeans everyday.

3. Riding boots: Yet another staple that I wear everyday in fall.  These can easily dress up your outfit this season with very little effort. Not to mention your feet will stay warm during the change in weather.

4. Fall-inspired makeup: For me, “fall-inspired” makeup means focusing on dark, bold colors like plum, wine, berry, etc. I love looking for deep-colored nail polish and lip colors to try during fall. Experiment and find what you love!

5. Simple accessories: I try to keep my accessories simple and limited during fall. Why deal with weather that will get your hair caught in your earrings, or damage dainty necklaces? Opt for a go-to backpack and some bangles for a sophisticated touch.

Tips and tricks for weight loss

Although this summer was, without a doubt, the best experience of my life, I wish I could have been healthier. However, I forgive myself and I’m ready for a lifestyle change. Like this post if you’re looking for a healthier lifestyle!

Start small: Make one positive shift every week, instead of overwhelming yourself with a several changes at once. Once you see how easy it is to make the changes, you’ll stick to them and continue your journey.
Find Your Muse: I believe that motivation and inspiration are the two key elements for positive lifestyle changes. When you get serious about your long-term goals, it will keep you committed to your new, healthy lifestyle.762e7e8cef8bb4952f23f43c8c7e163d
Create consistency: Remember, this isn’t a quick fix, it’s a lifestyle change. It’s important to have a schedule for yourself for meal planning, workouts, etc. After 21 days (the amount of days it takes to stick with a healthy habit) you’re life changes will stay for good.
Mix up your diet and workouts:  Keep on trying new group fitness classes, cardio machines, and different styles of exercise. When you find that one activity that’s fun and makes the time go by, you know you’ve met your match. The same can be said for food. Having a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and healthy protein will help maintain with your healthy life.
Have compassion for yourself: Don’t be hard on yourself after eating a food you consider “bad” or “unhealthy.” Simply forgive yourself, and move on. Being kind to yourself allows you to bounce back and stay on track. You will also skip the downward spiral of a day (or week) filled with bad food.

Nowadays, you can catch Alba dressing the perfection combination of trendy and comfy with her children by her side. She is an inspiration for celebrity mothers out there that there is a way to stay stylish while working, parenting, and maintaining a daily schedule of tasks. Alba expresses this grace and elegance in her day-to-day style.

My love for fashion can be traced to classic items, such as a good pair of denim, a white chiffon top and blazer. Some of these items Alba wears frequently. For her, it’s all about finding looks that you can easily dress up or down for different occasions. 1. What motivated you to start blogging?

I really wanted to combine my passions for beauty, fashion, fitness and writing into one. I love everything about this hobby. For me, it’s about exploring my passions each day.

2. Favorite movies?

Good Will Hunting, Saving Private Ryan, Pitch Perfect and The Shawshank Redemption.

3. What is your dream career?

The ultimate dream would be to work as a PR manager or specialist. But, I would also love to work with my passions in beauty, fashion and fitness by blogging or by beginning my own YouTube channel.

4. Top wishlist items right now?

I’m always on the lookout for new liquid eyeliners, BB creams and perfumes. I’m in love with Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream and Ralph Lauren Midnight Romance.

5. Favorite television shows?

Pretty Little Liars, Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother

6. What stores do you find yourself shopping at the most?

Ann Taylor Loft, Bath & Body Works and Old Navy.

7. Favorite fashion designers?

Marc Jacobs will forever be my top inspiration in the fashion world. Others are Coco Chanel and Ralph Lauren.

8. Describe your dream vacation

I have two dream vacations in mind. One would be visiting an island (Bora Bora, Santorini and Fiji are my top three choices) and take a week to have adventures. Half of my time would be spent scuba diving, parasailing, jetskiing and kayaking, and the other half would be trying unique foods from the island, hiking, mountain climbing and ziplining.

My other dream vacation would be traveling in Europe (Untied Kingdom, Croatia and Greece are my top three choices). I would love to spend two weeks traveling as much of the country as possible. Sightseeing, relaxing by the water, and trying new food would be part of the perfect vacation.

9. What are your goals for your blog?

I try to set small goals for my blog and reach them accordingly. Right now, I’m trying to write my blog posts for the week on Sunday, while gaining followers on BlissBrunette, my Twitter account for my blog. I set mini goals like 100 followers in one month. I’m hoping to do more for my blog in terms of photos and editing.

10. If you had the opportunity to interview a celebrity, who would it be?

Lauren Conrad is my idol and I would love to have the opportunity to have a conversation with her about how she went from reality TV star to the fashion industry, to her own book series, website and clothing line. I’m constantly inspired by Conrad whether it’s her sense of fashion, her books or blog posts.

Quick, Effective Workout

Today I want to share a new “Fitness Friday” post with a suggestion for a quick, effective workout for the days you have an hour or less to follow your fitness routine. I try to incorporate different workouts that tone multiple muscles, so I get the most of my workout for that day. Like this post if you want more quick workout suggestions!

You can alter this workout to whatever fits your schedule best. Whether you complete the workout early in the morning or in the evening is up to you.

Repeat three times:

Cardio: 50 jumping jacks

Legs: 25 squats (while holding a 5 to 10 pound weight)

Legs: 25 lunges (for each leg while holding a 5 to 10 pound weight)

Cardio: 50 jumping jacks

Abs: 25 reverse crunches

Abs: 50-second plank

Cardio: 50 jumping jacks

Arms: 25 push-ups (you can do regular or the modified version using your knees for support)

Arms: 25 triceps dips

Cardio: 50 jumping jacks

I always recommend stretching for at least 15 minutes after completing the workout, or you can follow up with 15 to 20 minutes of yoga. Just make sure you give your body enough time to recover from your workout.
